Those people who have used MD-3020II have known that MD-3020II metal detector has two ways to choose the objects: discrimination and notch. These two ways are used to select object, but what is the difference between them?

The control box of MD-3020II metal detector

Discrimination: when you choose this way to select object and press the up/down button, the metal types indicated on the display are selected or discarded are from right side to the left side.

Notch: If you choose this way to choose the metal type you want, the metal types indicated on the display are selected or discarded are from two sides to the central. For example, if you want to detect S-CAPS, you could press down button several times under notch condition. But if you choose discrimination condition, you can only discard the first several metal types and select the following S-CAPS, 1C and 25C.
